1 out of 5 stars Buy cheap, you get cheap   August 10, 2010
The old addage, "Cheap tools are expensive.".
I bought this in January from Amazon. It had a nice sharp picture at first. Now is very shadowed, no matter the resolution. No tech support, no return after 90 days.
Now I see various manufacturing issues with Viewsonic in the forums.
Spend more money and get better quality but not from Veiwsonic.

4 out of 5 stars Viewsonic 22 inch lcd monitor   July 15, 2010
I researched this product through Consumer Reports prior to purchase. The monitor is very good, especially in this price range.

5 out of 5 stars great product   July 13, 2010
This is a great monitor. The colors are good and the picture is crystal clear. Just keep in mind this unit is BIG and may overwhelm some.

5 out of 5 stars Great Product   July 5, 2010
For the price you can't beat it. Great color no problem with windows 7. You can spend a lot more for less.

3 out of 5 stars A 1080p 22" inch monitor that packs no suprises   July 4, 2010
Over the years monitors have moved away from the old 4:3 aspect ratio to more of a letter box format. The viewsonic VA2223wm is 16:9 which means that it slightly more letter box than all other flat screens from Acer or LG which is what we have in our household. Unlike the Acer 22" which is 22", the Viewsonic is actually only 21-5/8". You may think this is not a big deal but if you are using this as a 2nd monitor beside an LG or Acer, it will be smaller.

The button controls are on the bottom middle. This would be ok, but the power switch is also in the middle hidden in between the other same sized buttons. Most other monitors have the switch in a more obvious position.

The quality of display is very good and much better than our Acer, about on par with my LG, although not quite a 1080p screen.

In closing, the performance is very good the size disparity is a bit of a disappointment. Considering the retail price, this is still an excellent value and I would strongly consider buying another one
